This Instrument has had a complete overhaul by Neville Whitehead Luthier in Sydney (A$6000) including complete strip down strengthening ribs reshape neck and fingerboard, new bridge and tailpiece, repairs to cracks, edges etc plus installation of Australian hardwood rub strips on sides to prevent erosion
The instrument is a magnificent bass - Pete's personal instrument for last 25 years - with amazing amplified sound that is much admired. It i set up for amplified Jazz performance with a very punchy sound and wonderful whine
It is in totally sound condition
Neville Whitehead considered the instrument had a Australian dollar valuation of $36000.00 however I want the instrument to have a New Zealand home if possible
