The Revolution Solo

Customer comments:

Hi Pete

The RSII arrived yesterday (thanks), and I spent approximately an hour installing it. This involved carefully sandpapering the bridge wing quite a bit, and the RSII a little to ensure a firm fit. New users are advised to do this very carefully and to check progress frequently. The spruce encasing the RSII is very soft, so be very careful, and sand on a block to keep the sanding surface flat.

My gear consists of a circa 1920s Czech flatback bass which has a gutsy tone for jazz, a Fishman Pro-Eq pre-amp, and a Trace Elliot Boxer 65 bass amp.

I started testing utilising the pre-amp and was immediately impressed by the tone, although at that stage it was perhaps only a marginal improvement over my ancient (20+ years) Barcus-Berry pickup used in the same configuration. I then tried connecting straight into the amp, (something I would never contemplate with the BB), and was blown away by how good the sound and tone were over the entire range of the instrument. It's a line call as to whether a pre-amp is needed at all! I will probably continue to use the pre-amp for the slight added tone refinement. The installation of the plug under the G string is clever, and makes the whole installation very neat and almost invisible.

What a great product! Terrific value for money. Highly recommended.

Hi Pete

Ben Shepherd here I bought a revolution SOLO bass pickup and it’s turned out really well I’m getting more clarity from the bass with a lot more low end.
As soon as it came in the mail I installed it immediately it took a long time but that’s the fun in making a bass sound better.
Thanks for having great products.
Cheers
Ben
