The Acoustic Image Contra Series III(Model 510 BA) The single-channel Contra integrated amp and loudspeaker system is designed to accurately reproduce the sound of all acoustic and electric instruments without the size and weight that has traditionally be associated with high quality amplification. Flat frequency response coupled with an extended, tight, well-controlled bass sound and clarity of reproduction are its principle sonic characteristics. Its omnidirectional output of frequencies below 800 Hz allows instruments amplified by the Contra to be easily heard by other musicians across the bandstand. Key features have been designed into the Contra to add flexibility for various playing situations. These include use of a combo jack input that allows either a 1/4 inch or XLR input, a parallel effects loop with a return level control, a selectable notch or low cut filter for feedback or "boominess" elimination and a balanced direct out with ground lift and pre/post EQ selection to allow connection to a mixing board for PA augmentation or recording. A built-in lifter mechanism allows the cabinet to be tilted to better direct sound to the player's listening position. A switch for dual voltage operation (115/230V, 50/60 Hz), a detachable power cord, a fitted slip cover with cable storage and shoulder strap, an optional padded gig bag with shoulder strap or a hard shell travel case make the unit convenient for the travelling musician. Warranty:
Acoustic Image product warranty: As a general statement, during the first five years, we will repair for free or replace (at our option) any of our products if they are not functioning as they should. Beyond that, we will fix any of our products without charge no matter how old they are. Both commitments apply whether you are the first owner or the fifteenth. You are, however, on the hook for the shipping, including assuring that the amp is well protected and insured. But please call first because in many cases a return will not be necessary because we can frequently pinpoint the problem over the phone and ship you a part along with instructions for a DIY repair. Beyond that, there are a few additional caveats: naturally, free service is only available to products that have not been tampered with or abused, modified, repaired by third parties. And to resuscitate older products, we must be able to get our hands on replacement parts. But in the unlikely event that we don’t have the parts to fix your AI combo or integrated amp, we will offer a generous trade-in for the old unit toward a new one. We can then cannibalize your trade-in for parts. Bottom line, we can’t say that ours is a “lifetime warranty” or even a “limited lifetime warranty”. We can, however, commit to treat you the way we would like to be treated. For good.
