Acoustic Image is a company
who, unhappy with the past standards of particularly double
bass amplification, decided to design their own product. Released
in 1999, the result is CONTRA.
The secret is the downward firing woofer which means you can
be heard by all the band.
"When I first plugged it in I thought
it wasn't working, so I turned it off to find that it was
working but the sound was so true that I could not distinguish
between the amplified and the acoustic sound of my bass! The
same thing happened when a friend tried out her violin through
the amp........I love it already!"

WHAT
THEY ARE SAYING ABOUT ACOUSTIC IMAGE AMPLIFIERS
The
Acoustic Image Warranty: The Bottom Line.
As Tom Waits once wrote, “The big print giveth and the
small print taketh away”. Which is why we spell out
the details of our warranty — one that we believe is
unsurpassed in the industry—in letters that are all
of one size.
As a general statement, during the first five years,
we will repair for free or replace (at our option) any of
our products if they are not functioning as they should. Beyond
that, we will fix any of our products without charge no matter
how old they are. Both commitments apply whether you are the
first owner or the fifth.
You are, however, on the hook for the shipping to
us for repair, including assuring that the amp is well protected
and insured. That is, if a return is necessary, because before
we authorize a return for service, we can frequently pinpoint
the problem and ship you a part along with instructions for
a DIY repair.
Beyond that, there are a few additional caveats:
naturally, free service is only available to products that
have not been tampered with or abused, modified, repaired
by the guy down the street, or otherwise subjected to indignity.
And to resuscitate older products, we must be able to get
our hands on replacement parts. But in the unlikely event
that we don’t have the parts to fix your AI combo or
integrated amp, we will offer a generous trade-in for the
old unit toward a new one.
Bottom line, we don’t say that ours is a “lifetime
warranty” or even a “limited lifetime warranty”
(lawyer’s words generally followed by voluminous disclaimers).
We do, however, commit to treat you the way we would like
to be treated. For good.
